Barbara Crockett - Founder of Sacramento Ballet Company

Allyson Deane - Artistic Director of Crockett-Deane Ballet Company; former principal with San Francisco Ballet

Don Schwennessen - Artistic Director of Crockett-Deane Ballet Company; former principal with San Francisco Ballet

Richard Shi - Director of Deane Dance Center; received his early training with the Shanghai Dancing School and danced for ten years as a principal dancer with the Shanghai Ballet.

Professional Faculty

Kermit Allen - Mr.Allen danced with the Austin Ballet and has performed for the last few years with the Sacramento Ballet. He has a very strong background in ballet technique and is important at the Deane Dance Center to the Adult Department and in developing the young boys classes.

Shirin Keyani-Rose - Ms.Keyani-Rose was a beautiful dancer with Alonzo King at Lines in San Francisco. She taught for a few years for Barbara Crockett at Crockett Dance Studio before becoming an important part of the teaching staff at the Deane Dance Center. Ms.Keyani-rose also rehearses the Crockett-Deane Ballet Company.

Nina Baratoff - Ms. Baratoff has worked with young children for many years and leads the Pre-Ballet Department at the Deane Dance Center. Her daughter, who has a dance school in Pacifica, was for many years the top prinicipal dancer at Sacramento Ballet.

Irina Karoulina - "Miss Irina" is a ballerina from Russia who is well versed in Character work. After her dancing career she became a teacher and, for America, gives the students at Deane Dance Center and unusually authentic training in character work.

Jilleann Snobar - Ms.Jilleann trained at the Deane Dance Center before graduating and going off to college in Texas. Upon her return she became a teacher at the Deane Dance Center brinigng her strong technical background to the young students.

Linda Yun - Ms.Yun is also a product of Barbara Crockett and the Deane Dance Center. After graduation she attended CSU Long Beach. After returning home she joined the Deane Dance Center and has become a very important element to the running of the school. She has recently been certified as a Zumba teacher.

Keith Goings - Mr.Goings is well known as an extaordinary dancer and teacher of Jazz. He has perfomed in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Tokyo. We are thrilled to add him to the illustrious Deane Dance Center staff.

Pamela Lourentzos - Ms.Lourentzos is a talented, well-known and award-winning choreogrpaher in the Sacramento area. At the Deane Dance Center she has taught ballet, jazz, dance conditioning and musical theater. She is also a dancer and takes classes at the Deane Dance Center.

Pianists

Emmett O'Sullivan - A master musician. Emmett has played for such prestigious companies as Pilobolus.
